Seiichi Ozawa received Dr. Eng. from Kobe University in 1998. He is currently the director of Center for Mathematical and Data Sciences and professor at Graduate School of Engineering, Kobe University. His research interests span a wide range of machine learning, neural networks, security for AI, AI for security, federated learning, and medical applications. He published 178 journals and referred conference papers, and 20 book chapters /monographs. He currently works as associate editors of IEEE Trans. on Cybernetics and Evolving Systems Journal. Currently, he is serving as a vice-president of International Neural Network Society (INNS), and he was President of Asia Pacific Neural Network Society (APNNS) and Vice President of Japan Neural Network Society (JNNS). He is a member of Neural Networks TC, Data Mining, and Smart World TC of IEEE CI Society. He served as a general chair and program chair of many conferences such as ICONIP 2016, 2018, 2022, IJCNN 2020, 2024, and IEEE WCCI 2024.
