Mauro Forti received the Laurea degree (cum laude) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Florence, Italy. From 1991 to 1998 was an Assistant Professor of Mathematical Analysis at the Department of Electronic Engineering of the University of Florence. From 1998 to 2004 he was an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Siena, Italy, Department of Information Engineering. Since 2005 he has been a Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Siena. The main scientific interests of Dr. Forti are in the field of nonlinear circuit theory, with emphasis on the dynamical analysis of nonlinear circuits modeling artificial neural networks. He is author of more than 150 international publications. In particular, he authored 98 publications in international journals, 45 of which in transactions of the IEEE. From 2001 to 2010 Dr. Forti served as Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks. He has also served as Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems-I: Fundamental Theory and Applications in the years 2002-2004. Since 2014 he serves as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics and he is currently also in the editorial board of Frontiers in Neuroscience. In 2024 Dr. Forti was appointed Co-EiC of Neural Networks (Elsevier). |
