Elections for seven (7) members of the Board of Governors of the International Neural Network Society (INNS) for the term 2026-2028, along with the election for one (1) President-Elect, will take place between October and November 2025.
Governance Guidelines
Eligibility for Office
No person shall be eligible to serve as Governor, President, President-Elect, Vice-President for Membership, Vice-President for Conferences and Technical Activities, Vice-President for Education, Vice-President for Public Relations, or Vice-President for Industry Relations of the Corporation, unless such person is a member in good standing of the Corporation prior to his or her election and continues to be a member in good standing during his or her term of office (INNS Bylaws Article 5, Section 3).
Board Meetings
Meetings of the Board of Governors shall be held at any time, place and date as determined by the President of the Corporation. [2] Meetings of the Board may be held by telephone conference or similar communications equipment as long as all governors are invited to participate in the meeting. [3] All such participating Governors shall be deemed to be present in person as such meetings (INNS Bylaws Article 6).
The Board of Governors holds three annual meetings: one virtual and two in-person. One of the in-person meetings is co-located with IJCNN/WCCI.

Nomination Process
Eligible candidates must be a regular or affiliate member of INNS who has been an INNS member for at least 5 years.
Each nomination should include:
- Nomination basic details: Candidate's name, affiliation, mailing address, email, desired position, and years of INNS membership.
- Brief CV of the nominee (2pp): Include basic information, credentials, publications, achievements, and professional service (especially related to INNS).
- Short Bio (1000 character limit): Summarize your work and its connection to INNS.
- Brief Statement of Candidacy (1000 character limit): Explain how you would contribute to INNS if elected.
- Current Photo (jpg or png format): A high-resolution headshot (at least 360 x 450 px, max 5 MB). (This will be shared publicly with voting members.)
